A fix is available in the Linux kernel as indicated by the presence of fixed commit versions. Users should update to a kernel version that includes these fixes to remediate the vulnerability.
Description
CVE-2025-68782 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's SCSI target subsystem. It occurs when the allocation of cmd->t_task_cdb fails, leaving the pointer NULL but later dereferenced in an error path. This can lead to a NULL pointer dereference causing a denial of service (system crash). The issue has been fixed by resetting the NULL t_task_cdb pointer to a default fixed-size buffer in error cases.
