Technical Analysis

This vulnerability in aaPanel BaoTa (up to version 11.8.0) involves an OS command injection in the function panelTask.bt_task._unzip located in /www/server/panel/class/panelTask.py. An attacker can manipulate the Password argument to execute arbitrary OS commands remotely. The vulnerability has a CVSS 4.0 score of 9.3, indicating critical severity. Public exploits exist, and the vendor has not provided any official response or fix.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary operating system commands on the affected server, potentially leading to full system compromise. Given the critical CVSS score and public exploit availability, this poses a high risk to affected systems.

Mitigation Recommendations
