Description

CVE-2026-102923 is a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in CodeWithCJ SparkyFitness, a self-hosted AI-powered health and fitness tracker. Versions prior to 1.6.0 do not properly validate custom AI service URLs set by authenticated users, allowing crafted outbound POST requests with controlled bearer tokens. This can lead to probing internal services and disclosure of AI system prompts. The issue is fixed in version 1.6.0.

Technical Analysis

SparkyFitness versions before 1.6.0 contain an SSRF vulnerability in the chatService.ts and labelScanService.ts components. Authenticated users can save a custom AI service URL and trigger outbound POST requests with controlled authorization headers. This flaw allows attackers to interact with internal services and potentially disclose sensitive AI system prompt data. The vulnerability is addressed by proper validation of destination URLs in version 1.6.0.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation enables an authenticated user to send server-side POST requests with attacker-controlled bearer tokens, probe internal network services, and disclose sensitive AI system prompt information. This could lead to information disclosure and potential further attacks on internal infrastructure. The CVSS score is 5.4 (medium severity), reflecting limited confidentiality and integrity impact without availability impact.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade SparkyFitness to version 1.6.0 or later, where the vulnerability is fixed by validating custom AI service URLs. No additional mitigation is required once the official fix is applied.
