Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-105275 describes a relative path traversal vulnerability (CWE-23) in Satel Netco Design's data import functionality. This flaw allows an authenticated user with Viewer-level access to traverse directories and access files outside the designated import directory. The application’s responses enable the user to determine the presence of files on the host system. The vulnerability affects versions from 0 up to but not including 2.1.7.

Potential Impact

An authenticated user with minimal privileges (Viewer) can access files outside the intended directory, potentially exposing sensitive information about the host system's file structure. However, there is no indication of remote code execution or privilege escalation. The impact is limited to information disclosure about file existence.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in Satel Netco Design version 2.1.7. Users should upgrade to version 2.1.7 or later to remediate this vulnerability. No additional mitigation guidance is provided or necessary as the vulnerability is addressed by the official patch.
