Technical Analysis

This vulnerability in gradio-app gradio 6.14.0 arises from the use of a weak hash in the save_audio_to_cache function within the Audio Cache Key Handler component. The weakness could be exploited by an attacker with local access and high attack complexity. Although exploit code is publicly available, the overall exploitability is considered difficult. The vulnerability has a low CVSS 4.0 score of 2.0, reflecting limited impact and high complexity. A patch named 13394 is recommended to remediate the issue.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to exploit the use of a weak hash in the audio caching mechanism, potentially undermining data integrity or cache reliability. Due to the high attack complexity and requirement for local access, the practical impact is limited. No privilege escalation, remote exploitation, or denial of service is indicated. The CVSS score of 2.0 confirms a low severity impact.

Mitigation Recommendations

A patch identified as 13394 is recommended to fix this vulnerability. Since the patch status is not explicitly confirmed as available in the vendor advisory, verify the availability of patch 13394 from the vendor or official sources and apply it promptly. Until patched, restrict local access to trusted users only to reduce risk.
