Technical Analysis

The vulnerability in ruoyi-ai 3.0.0 to 3.1.0 involves a missing authorization check on the GET /workflow/search API endpoint. Authenticated users without admin privileges can query this endpoint and retrieve private workflows belonging to other users in the same tenant. The lack of filtering by workflow owner or public visibility leads to unauthorized disclosure of sensitive workflow data, including unique identifiers and detailed configuration information.

Potential Impact

Authenticated non-admin users can access private workflows of other users within the same tenant, potentially exposing sensitive operational data and configurations. This unauthorized data exposure could lead to privacy violations and information leakage within the affected environment.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the GET /workflow/search endpoint to trusted users only or implement additional access controls to enforce owner or public status filtering.
