Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: innocommerce
Product: InnoShop

Description

InnoShop version 0.9.2 has a local file disclosure vulnerability that allows authenticated administrators with files_create permission to read arbitrary server files. This is achieved by abusing the AI Core MCP file_upload tool's source argument with file:// or php:// stream wrappers, enabling exposure of sensitive files such as the .env file containing APP_KEY and database credentials.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-108591 describes a vulnerability in InnoShop 0.9.2 where authenticated administrators who have the files_create permission can exploit the AI Core MCP file_upload tool's source argument. By supplying file:// or php:// stream wrappers to the file_get_contents() function, attackers can read arbitrary server files. The contents are then stored on the public media disk, allowing exposure of sensitive configuration files like .env that include critical secrets such as APP_KEY and database credentials.

Potential Impact

An attacker with authenticated administrator privileges and files_create permission can read sensitive server files, including configuration files that contain application keys and database credentials. This exposure can lead to further compromise of the application and underlying infrastructure. The vulnerability has a CVSS 4.0 score of 5.9, indicating a medium severity impact.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict files_create permission to trusted administrators only and monitor usage of the AI Core MCP file_upload tool. Avoid exposing sensitive files on the public media disk. Follow vendor updates for official patches or mitigations.
