Users should monitor the vendor's advisories for updates. Until a fix is available, restrict contributor-level access to trusted users only to reduce risk. Review and limit user permissions where possible to mitigate exploitation potential.

Description

The Rich Showcase for Google Reviews WordPress plugin up to version 7.1.6 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability. Authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher can retrieve a 127-character site-wide authentication secret (grw_auth_code). This secret allows impersonation of the WordPress site to the RichPlugins backend service, potentially exposing the site to unauthorized actions. The vulnerability is identified as CWE-862 (Missing Authorization).
