Published: 10/13/2026 (10/13/2026, 18:30:54 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: b3log
Product: Symphony

Description

B3log Symphony versions up to and including 3.6.4 have a missing authorization vulnerability. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to access administrative routes because the permission middleware does not properly enforce authorization for routes missing permission.rule.url entries. Exploitation enables attackers to perform actions such as ignoring reports, deleting unused tags, or granting user points without audit logging.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-110105 describes a missing authorization vulnerability in B3log Symphony through version 3.6.4. The vulnerability arises because PermissionMidware.check permits access to admin routes that lack explicit permission.rule.url entries, allowing unauthenticated attackers to reach sensitive endpoints. Specifically, attackers can invoke endpoints like /admin/report/ignore/{reportId}, /admin/tags/remove-unused, and /admin/user/{userId}/init-point to manipulate reports, tags, and user points without proper audit trails.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability enables unauthenticated attackers to perform administrative actions without authorization, including ignoring reports, deleting unused tags, and granting points to users without audit logging. This can lead to unauthorized data manipulation and potential abuse of administrative functions, undermining system integrity and trust.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official fix information is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to administrative endpoints by other means such as network-level controls or web application firewalls to mitigate unauthorized access.
