Technical Analysis

waynboot-mall versions up to 2.0.0 contain an insecure direct object reference (IDOR) vulnerability in the mobile CartController. Authenticated members can enumerate sequential cart IDs via PUT /cart, POST /cart/changeNum, and DELETE /cart/{cartId} endpoints, enabling them to modify or delete cart items belonging to other users. This bypasses authorization controls and compromises cart integrity.

Potential Impact

Authenticated users can manipulate or delete other users' cart items, potentially leading to unauthorized changes in shopping carts. This could disrupt user experience and trust but does not indicate direct impact on confidentiality or system integrity beyond cart data.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to cart modification endpoints to authorized users only and monitor for suspicious activity related to cart ID enumeration.
