Published: 10/13/2026 (10/13/2026, 18:50:03 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: youlaitech
Product: youlai-boot

Description

youlai-boot versions up to 2.21.1 have a missing authorization vulnerability that allows authenticated users with low privileges to escalate their permissions. Specifically, users such as the GUEST test account can assign arbitrary menu and button permissions to their own roles via a PUT API endpoint, effectively granting themselves administrator-level access after refreshing the Redis permission cache.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-110215 describes a missing authorization vulnerability in youlai-boot through version 2.21.1. The flaw allows authenticated users with low privileges to manipulate role permissions by sending a PUT request to /api/v1/roles/{roleId}/menus. This enables them to assign arbitrary menu and button permissions to their roles, including administrator-equivalent permissions, by refreshing the Redis permission cache. This vulnerability results in privilege escalation within the application.

Potential Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows low-privileged authenticated users to escalate their permissions to administrator level, potentially gaining full control over the affected youlai-boot instance. This can lead to unauthorized access to sensitive functions and data within the application.

Mitigation Recommendations

No explicit patch or remediation details are provided in the input data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to authenticated users and monitor for suspicious privilege changes. Consider disabling or restricting the affected API endpoint if possible.
