CVE-2026-110619: Missing Authentication for Critical Function in fatedier frp
Description
frp 0.41.0 through 0.71.1 contains a missing authentication vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to access pprof debug endpoints because handlers are registered on the root mux outside Basic Authentication. Attackers can query /debug/pprof/ endpoints on frps dashboard or frpc admin listeners to obtain cmdline, goroutine stacks, heap profiles, and trigger CPU profiling.

Technical Analysis
The fatedier frp software versions 0.41.0 through 0.71.1 contain a missing authentication vulnerability. This flaw arises because handlers for pprof debug endpoints are registered on the root mux outside of Basic Authentication controls. As a result, unauthenticated remote attackers can access these debug endpoints, allowing them to retrieve sensitive runtime information including command line arguments, goroutine stacks, heap profiles, and to trigger CPU profiling. This vulnerability affects both the frps dashboard and frpc admin listeners.
Potential Impact
Unauthenticated remote attackers can access sensitive runtime debug information via the /debug/pprof/ endpoints. This may expose internal application details such as command line parameters, goroutine stacks, and memory profiles, potentially aiding further attacks or reconnaissance. The CVSS 4.0 base score is 6.3, indicating a medium severity impact with low complexity and no privileges required.
Mitigation Recommendations
Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict network access to the /debug/pprof/ endpoints or disable pprof debug handlers if possible to prevent unauthenticated access.
