Published: 10/15/2026 (10/15/2026, 21:43:37 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: polonel
Product: trudesk

Description

Trudesk versions up to 1.2.11 have an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows any authenticated user to access private conversations by specifying another conversation's ID. This flaw occurs because the API endpoint GET /api/v1/messages/conversation/:id does not verify whether the requesting user is a participant in the conversation. Exploiting this vulnerability exposes full message histories and participant details including usernames, full names, and email addresses.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-111345 describes an authorization bypass vulnerability in Trudesk through version 1.2.11. Authenticated users can exploit the lack of participant verification in the GET /api/v1/messages/conversation/:id API endpoint to read private conversations they are not part of. This results in unauthorized disclosure of message history and sensitive participant information such as usernames, full names, and email addresses.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows unauthorized access to private conversation data, compromising confidentiality of message content and personal information of participants. This can lead to privacy violations and potential information leakage within affected Trudesk deployments.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the API endpoint to trusted users only and monitor for suspicious access patterns. Avoid exposing the vulnerable API in untrusted environments.
