Description

The AI ChatBot for WooCommerce – WoowBot WordPress plugin up to version 5.0.0 has an authorization bypass vulnerability. Authenticated users with subscriber-level access can exploit this flaw to trigger repeated RAG document synchronization operations that invoke paid AI embedding API calls charged to the site administrator's API key. The required nonce token is exposed to all authenticated frontend users, making exploitation trivial. This can lead to financial loss due to depletion of AI API credits.

Impact

The vulnerability allows authenticated users with low-level privileges (subscriber and above) to bypass authorization controls and cause the site to make repeated paid API calls to AI embedding services. This can exhaust the site administrator's AI API credits, leading to unexpected financial costs.
