Published: 10/16/2026 (10/16/2026, 01:17:52 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: nezhahq
Product: nezha

Description

Nezha versions from 2.0.13 up to but not including 2.3.15 have a resource exhaustion vulnerability. Authenticated users can open unlimited concurrent WebSocket connections to the /api/v1/ws/transfer endpoint, causing exhaustion of file descriptors, memory, and goroutines. This can block agent gRPC reconnections and degrade service availability.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-111383 describes a resource exhaustion vulnerability in Nezha versions >=2.0.13 and <2.3.15. Authenticated attackers can create unbounded concurrent connections to the /api/v1/ws/transfer WebSocket endpoint, holding thousands of subscriptions via ServerTransferClass.Subscribe without limits. This leads to exhaustion of system resources such as file descriptors, memory, and goroutines, ultimately blocking agent gRPC reconnections and potentially impacting service stability.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows authenticated users to exhaust critical system resources by opening unlimited concurrent WebSocket connections. This can cause denial of service conditions by blocking agent gRPC reconnections and degrading the availability and reliability of the Nezha service.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict authenticated user access to the /api/v1/ws/transfer endpoint or implement external rate limiting to prevent unbounded concurrent connections.
