Description

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-113490 describes an information exposure vulnerability (CWE-200) in the GeoDirectory WordPress plugin prior to version 2.8.194. The flaw arises because the plugin fails to perform status or ownership checks when rendering a listing's map-popup through a single-item REST route. As a result, unauthenticated users can retrieve sensitive information such as the title, permalink, and card fields of listings that are not publicly accessible (draft, pending, private, trashed). This exposure could lead to unauthorized disclosure of listing details.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to read sensitive information from non-public listings, potentially exposing confidential or unpublished data. This could undermine privacy and confidentiality of listing content but does not indicate direct modification or deletion capabilities.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fixed version of GeoDirectory is available starting from 2.8.194. Users should upgrade to version 2.8.194 or later to remediate this vulnerability. No other mitigation steps are indicated.
