Description

CVE-2026-114354 is a high-severity vulnerability in DJI CrystalSky ZS600C firmware versions 0.3.9.7 through 0.6.6.9. It involves missing authorization in the native binder service 'android.dji.server' (transaction code 1018), allowing a local application without permissions to execute arbitrary OS commands as root. This occurs because the handler passes a caller-supplied string to the root-privileged 'assistant' daemon's system() call without verifying caller identity or permissions.

Technical Analysis

This vulnerability (CVE-2026-114354) affects the DJI CrystalSky ZS600C device firmware versions 0.3.9.7 through 0.6.6.9. The native binder service 'android.dji.server' exposes a transaction (code 1018) that lacks authorization checks. A local application with no permissions can supply arbitrary command strings that are executed as root by the 'assistant' daemon via system(), due to the absence of caller identity or permission validation. This results in privilege escalation to root and arbitrary OS command execution.

Potential Impact

An unprivileged local application can execute arbitrary commands with root privileges on affected DJI CrystalSky ZS600C devices. This can lead to full system compromise, unauthorized control, and potential persistence on the device. The vulnerability does not require user interaction or permissions, increasing its severity.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. No official fix or patch links are provided in the available data. Until a patch is released, restrict local application installation to trusted sources and limit physical or local access to the device to mitigate exploitation risk.
