Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-114395 affects Trudesk through version 1.2.11 and involves an authorization bypass in the apiMessages.send API. The vulnerability allows authenticated users to specify arbitrary owner and conversation ID (cId) parameters when posting messages via POST /api/v1/messages/send. This enables attackers to inject spoofed messages into conversations they are not authorized to access. The flaw is due to an incomplete remediation of CVE-2022-1931.

Potential Impact

An attacker with authenticated access can impersonate other users by posting messages on their behalf in conversations they do not belong to. This could lead to misinformation, social engineering, or disruption within the affected communication platform. There is no indication of privilege escalation beyond message spoofing or of remote unauthenticated exploitation.

Mitigation Recommendations

No explicit patch or remediation information is provided. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict authenticated user permissions where possible and monitor for suspicious message activity.
