AI-suggested
Upgrade the Customer Engagement System WordPress plugin to version 2.0.2 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. The fixed version restricts access to the MailChimp interest-group lookup and validates the API key properly, preventing unauthenticated SSRF exploitation.
Description
A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in the Customer Engagement System WordPress plugin versions before 2.0.2. The flaw allows unauthenticated users to make the server initiate connections to arbitrary internal hosts and ports by exploiting the MailChimp interest-group lookup feature without proper API key validation. This can enable attackers to infer the reachability of internal network resources based on response timing.
