AI-suggested

Upgrade to version 1.1.36 or later of the GraphQL Tools legacy WebSocket executor package, where the issue is fixed. No other mitigation is indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

CVE-2026-118666 is a vulnerability in the ardatan graphql-tools legacy WebSocket executor package prior to version 1.1.36. The issue arises because the executor reuses a single WebSocket and replaces its onmessage handler for overlapping subscriptions without verifying subscription operation IDs. This allows a subscriber to receive another user's authorized subscription data, exposing sensitive information. The flaw is fixed in version 1.1.36.
