Fixed versions 6.22.0 and 7.8.0 are available and should be applied to remediate this vulnerability. Upgrading to these versions will resolve the connection pooling flaw and prevent unintended data disclosure and request failures.
Description
CVE-2026-119179 is a vulnerability in the MongoDB Node.js driver connection management layer where pooled network connections may be reused while data from previous operations is still pending. This can cause replies to be mismatched with requests in applications using client-side operation timeouts, potentially exposing other users' data, returning incorrect results, or causing request failures.
