Until a fix is available, users should avoid configurations that enable the vulnerable interaction layer behavior or restrict usage of the comment_author_url parameter in untrusted contexts.

Description

The Greenshift – animation and page builder blocks plugin for WordPress contains a stored DOM-based cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the 'url (comment_author_url)' parameter. This affects all versions up to and including 13.2.2. The vulnerability arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary scripts that execute when a user accesses a page with the injected payload. Exploitation requires a specific configuration involving the GreenShift Interaction Layer and a Counter block attribute.
