Description
CVE-2026-119336 is a high-severity vulnerability in pi-hole versions from 6.4.2 up to but not including 6.5. The issue involves a root-run cron job script that follows symbolic links in a directory owned by the pihole user, allowing an attacker with pihole user privileges to manipulate root-owned files by exploiting symlink races or replacements. This can lead to truncation or unauthorized permission changes on sensitive files. The vulnerability is fixed in pi-hole version 6.5.
