AI-suggested

Upgrade FreeRDP to version 3.32.2 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigations are indicated. Since this is a client-side vulnerability triggered by a malicious gateway response, avoiding untrusted gateways may reduce exposure but the definitive remediation is to apply the official patch.

Description

CVE-2026-121390 is a reachable assertion vulnerability in FreeRDP versions 3.0.0 up to but not including 3.32.2 when built with WITH_AAD=ON. The issue arises because the ARM gateway response parser improperly handles a missing or non-string redirectedServerCert field, leading to a null buffer being passed to the certificate parser. This can cause the client process to abort if a malicious or malformed gateway returns such a response.
