Description

CVE-2026-121396 is a reachable assertion vulnerability in FreeRDP clients from version 3.0.0 up to but not including 3.32.2. The flaw occurs in the rts_read_auth_verifier function when built with verbose WinPR assertions and is triggered by malformed RTS padding. An attacker controlling an RD Gateway can exploit this by sending a crafted RPC-over-HTTP RTS PDU with inconsistent authentication padding, causing the client process to abort.
