AI-suggested

Users should upgrade beyond version 2.3.8 once a fixed version is released. Until then, restrict subscriber-level user permissions or disable the plugin if possible. Monitor vendor advisories for official remediation updates. Since the plugin is not a cloud service, remediation depends on applying vendor patches or configuration changes.

Description

The Social Slider Feed – Social Media Feed & Gallery Widgets WordPress plugin up to version 2.3.8 is vulnerable to stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) via the 'slidespeed' parameter. Authenticated users with subscriber-level access can exploit this due to insufficient input sanitization and missing permission checks, allowing injection of malicious scripts that execute on public pages embedding the feed shortcode.
