AI-suggested

Upgrade Docker Sandboxes to version 0.50.0 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigation is indicated by the vendor advisory. Users should ensure that only trusted parties have write access to host repository Git configurations to prevent exploitation.

Description

Docker Sandboxes versions 0.31.0 up to but not including 0.50.0 contain a vulnerability where repository-controlled Git configuration is not properly neutralized when running certain host-side Git commands. This allows an attacker with the ability to modify a host repository's Git configuration to execute arbitrary programs on the host with the invoking user's permissions, bypassing the sandbox isolation. The issue is resolved in version 0.50.0.
