Description

CVE-2026-121950 is a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in FreeRDP versions before 3.32.2. The flaw occurs due to improper validation of surface dimension multiplication in the gdi_CreateSurface function when processing an RDPGFX CREATE_SURFACE PDU. On 32-bit builds, this leads to an integer wrap and heap corruption, while on 64-bit builds it causes an excessively large memory allocation (~4 GiB). A malicious RDP server can exploit this by sending crafted CREATE_SURFACE PDUs with large width and height values to cause heap corruption or denial of service.
