Description

CVE-2026-121952 is a critical out-of-bounds write vulnerability in FreeRDP versions before 3.32.2. The flaw occurs in the proxy component where the handling of bitmap cache v2 cell arrays is incorrect. Specifically, the proxy only rejects numCellCaches values above 5 but always accesses fixed indices 0 through 4, leading to heap corruption if fewer than five cell caches are declared by a client. This can cause heap data leakage, corruption, or a crash.
