AI-suggested

Upgrade FreeRDP to version 3.32.2 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. The fix addresses the issue by ensuring buffer reallocation succeeds before committing new dimensions. No other mitigation is indicated.

Description

CVE-2026-121954 is a heap out-of-bounds write vulnerability in FreeRDP versions before 3.32.2. It occurs in the planar codec due to improper handling of dimension changes before buffer reallocation. A malicious RDP server can exploit this by sending a specially crafted ResetGraphics PDU followed by a GFX PLANAR command, leading to heap corruption and client crashes.
