Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-14559 is an improper authentication vulnerability (CWE-287) in the teddy-bear-customize-addon WordPress plugin through version 1.0.5. The flaw arises because the plugin fails to verify a user's password before authenticating them, enabling attackers to bypass authentication by providing only a valid registered user's email address. This allows unauthorized login as any user, including administrators.

Potential Impact

An attacker can gain unauthorized access to any registered user account, including administrator accounts, without knowing the user's password. This can lead to full site compromise, unauthorized changes, data exposure, or other administrative actions.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official fix is currently documented. Users should avoid using affected versions (<=1.0.5) of the teddy-bear-customize-addon plugin until a fix is released. Monitor the vendor or plugin repository for updates addressing this authentication flaw.
