Description
CVE-2026-23419 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel affecting versions 5.17.7 up to and including 5.18. It involves a circular locking dependency in the rds_tcp_tune function caused by the sk_net_refcnt_upgrade() call being made while holding the socket lock. This leads to a potential deadlock scenario due to memory allocation occurring under the socket lock. The issue has been fixed by moving the sk_net_refcnt_upgrade() call outside the socket lock critical section.
