A patch is available that corrects this issue by serializing NAND lock/unlock operations properly. Users should apply the official Linux kernel updates that include this fix. The vendor advisory confirms that this vulnerability has been resolved in updated kernel versions. No additional mitigation steps beyond applying the patch are indicated.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mtd: rawnand subsystem was resolved that involved improper serialization of lock and unlock operations on NAND devices. The flaw allowed race conditions on controllers implementing SET_FEATURES via multiple low-level PIO commands, potentially causing command conflicts on the NAND controller. This was fixed by adding proper device locking around these operations to prevent concurrent access issues.
