Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-24782 is an SQL Injection vulnerability in Kiteworks Secure Data Forms affecting versions before 9.3.0. Authenticated users with the FormBuilder role can exploit this vulnerability to retrieve or alter form definitions belonging to other users and modify certain global configuration parameters. This improper neutralization of special elements in SQL commands (CWE-89) can lead to information disclosure and unauthorized modification of data. The vulnerability has a CVSS 3.1 base score of 7.6, indicating high severity with network attack vector, low attack complexity, and privileges required. The vendor has released Kiteworks version 9.3.0 or later to patch this vulnerability.

Potential Impact

An attacker with authenticated access and the FormBuilder role can exploit this SQL Injection vulnerability to read sensitive information from the database and modify other users' form definitions and some global configuration parameters. This could lead to unauthorized data disclosure and integrity violations within the affected Kiteworks environment. The impact includes limited confidentiality loss, high integrity impact, and low availability impact as per the CVSS vector.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade Kiteworks Secure Data Forms to version 9.3.0 or later to apply the official patch that addresses these SQL Injection vulnerabilities. Since this is not a cloud service, remediation depends on applying the vendor's update. Patch status is confirmed by the vendor advisory indicating the fix is included in version 9.3.0. Until upgraded, restrict FormBuilder role assignments to trusted users only.
