Description

CVE-2026-31442 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's dmaengine idxd driver. It involves a possible invalid memory access after a Function Level Reset (FLR) when the scratch area for saved configuration cannot be allocated during a second FLR. This flaw has been fixed by ensuring the deallocated scratch area is set to NULL after FLR completion.
