Description
CVE-2026-31453 is a high-severity use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's XFS filesystem code. It occurs when the xfsaild_push_item() function calls iop_push(), and the log item may be freed if the AIL lock is dropped during the push operation. This can lead to dereferencing freed memory in tracepoints after iop_push() returns. The issue is fixed by capturing necessary log item data before the push and introducing a new trace event class that avoids using the freed pointer.
