Apply the official Linux kernel patches that fix this issue. The vulnerability is fixed in versions 6.18.24, 6.19.14, and later. Users should upgrade to these or newer kernel versions to remediate the vulnerability.
Description
A critical double-free vulnerability exists in the Linux kernel SMB client code in the function smbd_free_send_io() after smbd_send_batch_flush(). This flaw occurs because smbd_send_batch_flush() already calls smbd_free_send_io(), but the function was called again after smbd_post_send(), leading to a double-free condition. This issue has been fixed in Linux kernel versions 6.18.24, 6.19.14, and later.
