Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's FUSE subsystem causes the filesystem creation to hang when sync init is used and the server exits unexpectedly during FUSE_INIT processing. This occurs because the mounting thread keeps the device file descriptor open, preventing an abort and causing a hang. This issue is a regression from the previous async mount behavior. The vulnerability has been fixed in several Linux kernel versions.
