Technical Analysis

The Wertheim SafeController Software version AssemblyVersion 6.15.8328.28014 suffers from a CWE-425 Direct Request (forced browsing) vulnerability. Specifically, certain web-accessible file paths are not protected by an authorization scheme, enabling unauthenticated attackers to directly access and download files from sensitive directories via HTTP endpoints. Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict network access to the SafeController web interface to trusted users only and monitor for unauthorized access attempts.
