AI-suggested

Until an official fix is released, restrict access to the affected endpoint where possible and monitor for suspicious activity related to OAuth login attempts. Avoid deploying ThingsBoard v4.3.0.1 in untrusted environments or expose it to untrusted networks. Follow vendor communications for updates on patches or official mitigations.

Description

ThingsBoard version 4.3.0.1 contains a critical authentication bypass vulnerability in its OAuth authorization code exchange endpoint. The application improperly trusts user-supplied identity data in the /login/oauth2/code/ endpoint, allowing an attacker to manipulate the email address in the JSON payload. This flaw enables remote attackers to bypass authentication and gain full access to any existing user account without needing the user's credentials, resulting in complete account takeover.
