What to do

AI-suggested

Until a fix is available, users should exercise caution with torrent titles and restrict upload/edit permissions to trusted users. Implementing input validation and output encoding on the remaster_custom_title parameter can mitigate the risk.

Description

CVE-2026-38466 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the torrent remaster custom title feature of GazellePW (GazellePosterWall). It allows remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary JavaScript code via the remaster_custom_title parameter during torrent upload or edit. This injected script is then stored and rendered in the torrent title output, potentially affecting users who view the torrent. The vulnerability has a medium severity with a CVSS score of 5.4.
