Until an official fix is available, restrict template upload permissions strictly to trusted administrators and monitor for suspicious activity related to template uploads. Avoid using untrusted ZIP archives for template updates.
Description
Emlog Pro version 2.6.9 contains a path traversal vulnerability in its template upload feature. This flaw allows authenticated administrators to upload specially crafted ZIP archives with directory traversal sequences in filenames. Exploiting this, an attacker can overwrite default template files or include malicious PHP code within the current template, leading to arbitrary code execution. The vulnerability has a high severity score of 7.2 and impacts confidentiality, integrity, and availability. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently available from the vendor. There are no known exploits in the wild at this time.
