Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-39343 is a SQL injection vulnerability in ChurchCRM's EditEventTypes.php file affecting versions before 7.1.0. The EN_tyid POST parameter is improperly neutralized, enabling an authenticated administrator to inject and execute arbitrary SQL commands. This can lead to full compromise of the database confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The vulnerability is resolved in ChurchCRM version 7.1.0.

Potential Impact

An authenticated administrator can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary SQL commands on the backend database. This can result in unauthorized data disclosure, data modification, or deletion, severely impacting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the ChurchCRM database.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade ChurchCRM to version 7.1.0 or later, where this SQL injection vulnerability is fixed. Since the vulnerability requires administrator access, limiting administrative privileges and ensuring only trusted users have such access can reduce risk until the upgrade is applied. Patch status is not explicitly stated beyond the fix in 7.1.0; therefore, users should verify the upgrade and consult official ChurchCRM release notes for confirmation.
