AI-suggested

Upgrade AzuraCast to version 0.23.6 or later, where this vulnerability is patched. No other mitigation is required as the fix addresses the root cause by sanitizing the currentDirectory parameter.

Description

CVE-2026-42605 is a path traversal vulnerability in AzuraCast versions prior to 0.23.6. It affects the Flow.js media upload endpoint where the currentDirectory parameter is not properly sanitized, allowing authenticated users with media management permissions to write files outside the intended directory. This can lead to remote code execution by placing a PHP webshell in the web root. The issue is fixed in version 0.23.6.
