VulnerabilityCVE-2026-42878cvecve-2026-42878cwe-200
Published: 05/27/2026 (05/27/2026, 18:28:05 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: NeoRazorX
Product: facturascripts

Description

FacturaScripts versions prior to 2026 contain an unauthenticated information disclosure vulnerability in the Installer controller. An attacker can remotely trigger the phpinfo() function by requesting /? phpinfo=TRUE on a fresh deployment, exposing detailed PHP configuration, server environment variables, filesystem paths, and loaded extensions. This exposure may include sensitive data such as database credentials, API keys, or application secrets if set as environment variables. The vulnerability is fixed in version 2026. The CVSS score is 5.3, indicating a medium severity level.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-42878 is an information disclosure vulnerability (CWE-200) in NeoRazorX's FacturaScripts accounting software versions before 2026. It allows any unauthenticated remote attacker to invoke phpinfo() via the Installer controller by accessing the URL parameter /?phpinfo=TRUE on a fresh installation. This results in exposure of full PHP configuration details, server environment variables (potentially including sensitive credentials and secrets), filesystem paths, and loaded PHP extensions. The vulnerability is resolved in version 2026 of FacturaScripts.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability exposes sensitive server and application configuration information to unauthenticated attackers. This includes PHP configuration, environment variables, filesystem paths, and loaded extensions. Such information disclosure can aid attackers in further attacks by revealing database credentials, API keys, or application secrets if these are stored in environment variables. There is no indication of direct code execution or data modification. No known exploits in the wild have been reported.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade FacturaScripts to version 2026 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. Since no official patch link or vendor advisory is provided, verify the upgrade from the official NeoRazorX FacturaScripts release notes or repository. Until upgraded, restrict access to the Installer controller or block requests containing the phpinfo parameter if possible to mitigate exposure.
