A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. The vulnerability is resolved by deferring the free operation of the eventpoll structure to an RCU grace period. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions identified by the provided commit hashes to remediate this issue.
Description
CVE-2026-43074 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's eventpoll subsystem. The flaw occurs because the eventpoll structure is freed while still potentially in use by another concurrent thread. This issue has been resolved by deferring the free operation to an RCU (Read-Copy-Update) grace period, preventing unsafe memory access.
