Users should update to these fixed kernel versions or later to remediate the vulnerability.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/i915 driver could cause an unsigned integer overflow in the scatterlist length attribute when handling GEM shmem objects of size 4 GB or more. This overflow may lead to premature end of the object's backing pages, potentially causing memory corruption or system instability. The issue is fixed in specific Linux kernel commits.
