Users should monitor for vendor advisories regarding a fix in OpenClaw version 2026.4.10 or later. If you cannot patch yet, restrict access to the screen_record tool and limit user privileges to reduce the risk of exploitation.
Description
OpenClaw versions before 2026.4.10 have a path traversal vulnerability in the screen_record tool's outPath parameter. This flaw allows attackers with limited privileges to bypass workspace-only filesystem restrictions and write files outside the intended workspace boundaries.
