AI-suggested

Since the vulnerability affects versions before 2026050400, upgrading to version 2026050400 or later (once available) is recommended. Until then, users should be aware of the privacy risk when using the affected VPN settings. Monitor vendor advisories for official fixes.

Description

CVE-2026-45182 is a low-severity vulnerability in GrapheneOS before version 2026050400 that allows an attacker to discover the real IP address of a VPN user. This occurs due to a registerQuicConnectionClosePayload optimization that lets an application cause system_server to transmit UDP traffic on its behalf. The issue arises when the "Block connections without VPN" and "Always-on VPN" settings are enabled.
