Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-45418 is a SQL Injection vulnerability in ClipBucket v5 affecting the POST /actions/subtitle_edit.php endpoint. Authenticated users able to upload videos can manipulate the number parameter when changing subtitle titles, leading to improper neutralization of special elements in SQL commands (CWE-89). This allows a boolean-based blind SQL injection attack to extract sensitive information from the database. The issue is fixed in ClipBucket v5 version 5.5.3 - #132.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation can lead to unauthorized disclosure of sensitive data, complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the affected system due to the high severity SQL Injection vulnerability. Attackers with authenticated upload privileges can leverage this flaw to perform blind SQL injection attacks.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in ClipBucket v5 version 5.5.3 - #132. Users should upgrade to this version or later to remediate the vulnerability. No official patch link was provided, so verify the upgrade path with the vendor or official project repository.
